So I mentioned in an earlier posting that I am taking an online Book of Mormon class. I thought I would also mention that in addition to this class, BYU offers many other free online courses in a variety of topics. They cover all of the books of scripture, but also classes about parenting, gardening, politics, genealogy, math, music and even finances.

We have been counseled to obtain all the education that we can. Not all of us are at a point in our lives that we can go back to school like I did. That does not mean that we shouldn't still be striving to learn more. These free courses make it easy. You can move at your own pace, so if you only have time once a week to sit down and look at the material, so be it. I hope you will take the time to check out the classes and consider taking one.
P.S. I made Mady a set of flash cards on the computer today for her vocab words from school. I didn't know what most of the 20 words meant, so I made a set of flash cards for myself. I have found that I actually ENJOY learning! We can learn in many different ways, but we should always strive to be learning.

Again with the link button! I see the button that says insert a link, but every time I do, it doesn't show up on the post. Anybody have experience with this that would like to enlighten me?
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, MANY, MANY, MANY CONGRATS on completing your final class towards earning your Associates Degree in Accounting!!!!!!! That is so WONDERFUL, CANDY!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay...I hope I can explain this correctly...if I don't, I'd be happy to have you over and show you how I link, or drop by your house some time to show you...
I usually open up a new tab and when the new tab is open I type in the URL in the address bar that I want to link. I highlight the URL that I want (once it has the desired webpage that I want to link) and then right click it and hit COPY...
Then I switch back to my post in blogger (the original tab that I was working in) and go to the words in my post that I want to use as my link (Meaning..some people type GO HERE and highlight that or some people type the name of the organization and link that, etc). I highlight those words and then push the little link icon. A box should appear that you put the URL address that you want to link in. One thing that I have noticed is...in the little link box that pops up it usually has the http back slash thingy in in already. I always delete that (because my links have not worked in the past because it is confusing to the computer or something) and then right click in the empty box and PASTE the link into the space.
I hope that wasn't too confusing. Anyway...It was fun to catch up on your life through the blog!!!
Love you and MISS YOU, TOO!
